RIF Distribution

The children of the Evans County Storytime were treated to a "RIF" (Reading Is Fundamental) distribution during storytime. With Spring soon approaching books all about the changes in the the garden were given out. Each child interacted with finger puppets in the process of how a catterpillar becomes a butterfly. From the migration of the Monarch butterfly, hatching eggs, forming a cocoon, becoming a catterpillar and transforming into a Monarch butterfly. The last treat for the day was decorating their own butterfly and taking their treat home. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Valentine's Story Hour

The children at the Evans County Library enjoyed a Valentine's craft day during Storytime. The program included red tempura paint and small handprints. We had a wonderful time! Gifts of candy and box treats were given to all that participated. Some of the children even exchanged Valentines and treats to their friends.

Children dressed up for Halloween at the Evans County Library. The children participated in storytime for tots and are ready for Trick or Treating.

"Story Time at the Evans County Library" The children learned about sharing. We read the book "Don't need Friends" and played a game using a ball and passing it to the next person. This helped the children learn about friends and that everyone should share.

Easter Stories

The children from the weekly Storytime program were treated to bunny making crafts for the Easter holiday. They created their own bunnies and were given candy-filled eggs and a chocolate bunny to snack on.
