Kindle titles are now available at the Statesboro Regional Public Libraries. These titles can be read on any Amazon Kindle device, Kindle app, or Kindle Cloud Reader and offer all of the same features available with the Kindle reading experience. Most books in the library’s Georgia Download Destination collection are now Kindle compatible. To access and download, a patron must have both a library card and an Amazon account. An FAQ is available from Amazon.

Public library books for Kindle provide the same unique features as Kindle and Kindle books, including Whispersync technology that synchronizes your notes, highlights and last page read, real page numbers, and more.
Instructions:
- Visit Georgia Download Destination.
- Check out a Kindle book (library card required).
- Click on “Get for Kindle.” You will then be directed to Amazon.com to redeem your public library loan. You may be required to login to your Amazon.com account — or create a new account — if you’re not already logged in.
- Choose to read the book on your Kindle device, free reading app, or Kindle Cloud Reader.

Hi, my very dear kind friends at the library,
I downloaded the Kindle pc app and the Nook pc app too. For my purpose, the Kindle app is really good because I can control the margins, text size, etc. and the sepia screen is easier on my eyes.
Since the Nook app and the Adobe Digital take the e-pubs that’s great too and less complicated than going to Amazon. Just figured out a few days ago how to “return” the Kindle book via the Amazon website “Manage your Kindle”.
I have downloaded so many Gutenberg.Org books on the Kindle and works great. The oldie moldies like I read – Sherlock Holmes, Mary Roberts Rinehart, etc. Even found an Agatha Christi Piorot on it.
I feel so blessed being able to get books into my home this way, but I sure do miss all of you. God Bless you all and thank you for always being so kind to me. Love, Fern
