June 11 – 16 is the second full week of the library’s Summer Reading Program with exciting programs scheduled almost every day! The Teen Kickoff Party will be held Tuesday evening, June 12, from 6 – 7:30 PM featuring good music, food and fun as well as some fabulous craft activities designed especially for this age group. Chad Crews in the building–holla!!!  On May 29th, Franklin Memorial Library was wooed by the great magician Chad Crews. We have seen many magic tricks done by Chad, however, he did some new things for us this year and it was phenomenal. The teens had a blast and wanted to see more. The most exciting part of Chad’s performance was when he brought out his pet snake “Cornbread”. We really enjoyed Chad and can’t wait for him to return.

Magical Educator Chad Crews will be performing his program “I Dream of Reading Extravaganza!” at the Statesboro Regional Library on Thursday, June 7 at 10:30 AM. The “I Dream of Reading Extravaganza!” is part of the Summer Reading Program, which takes place in public libraries all over the U.S. during the summer months.
