The Family File is a project that we think greatly enhances our local genealogy material. This is a large surname file of information gathered from individuals, genealogists research, and many other sources. We took as much information as we could locate on a local family name (i.e. from family histories, DAR grandparent forms, DAR Bible Records, family histories compiled by Bulloch County Historical Society members, etc.) and combined it all in an envelope. In this way, a person interested in a family name has in one envelope much of the information we have on that family.
The Microform room has internet stations designated for genealogy research online and computers for viewing the CD-ROM collection which consists of Church of the Latter Day Saints, Family Tree Maker, Automated Archives disks as well as some others. There are numerous reels of microfilmed newspapers, census records, some Confederate service records, Bulloch County Court records and machines for viewing/printing.
The Bulloch Vertical File is a collection of files containing newspaper clippings, pamphlets, articles, photographs and other material pertaining to Bulloch County, Georgia.
