Statesboro Regional Library System provides Georgia and Federal tax forms as a public service for our patrons. Each affiliate library has many basic tax forms along with accompanying instructions. For specific forms please call in advance before making a trip to the library. Each library also has the Federal Tax Form notebook from which individual forms may be photocopied, as well as the Federal Tax Products CD-ROM which contains many forms, publications, schedules, and instructions. J.K. Lasser's Your Income Tax and The Ernst and Young Tax Guide both provide guidance on preparing tax forms. To order federal tax forms by phone call 1-800-829-3676.
Library staff are not qualified to provide tax assistance or answer specific tax related questions. Each year local AARP volunteers are available in many communities to assist patrons in their tax preparation. Call your local library for a schedule of times these volunteers are available. For tax preparation assistance contact the AARP at 1_800-227-7669.
This year, taxpayers may be eligible to access free, online tax preparation and electronic filing services. Through the e Free File Alliance, eligible taxpayers may prepare and file their federal income tax returns using online software provided by the Free File Alliance members.
