Georgia Public Library Driver Education Program

Beginning January 1, 2007, all 16 year olds applying for a Class D driver's license in Georgia must complete an approved driver education course. The Statesboro Regional Library System was awarded a grant to purchase computers to enable driver education learning opportunities (DDS licensed online courses) for high school students in our community. Two computers have been placed in each of our affiliate libraries located in Statesboro, Claxton, Pembroke, Richmond Hill, Swainsboro, and Metter.

The new computers will be situated so that they are accessible by young adults studying for the online driver education test. To sign up for the online test you must register with an approved licensed driver training school.
